I hope this helps out owners of the GH series Grass Hog Black and Decker weed trimmer. I think the biggest surprise was the hidden screw I discovered under the tip of the molded plastic shaft. This mod made my crappy auto line feed trimmer usable again. Seems like this trimmer has a lot of line feed issues. Good luck with your repair.
